10/18/2023 0 Comments Darkest dungeon weald monstersOnly fools travel through the Weald, it’s twisting paths impossible to map as entire, massive portions of its geography seem to shift and displace even while being watched. It takes a lot of meat to feed an army of such size and… Virility, but fortunately for them, there’s a Hamlet full of it. The swine are a race of butchers and man eaters, ever-hungry and breeding with such speed that full-scale eradication feels impossible. The air of the Warrens is so thick with filth that no one who enters comes back out healthy, if they even come back out at all. Only fools step into the Warrens, these pits stinking of rot overpowered with the smell of cooking meat, both the products of the swinefolk. Even slaying these creatures is little more than a stopgap measure, their broken bones knitting together in obscene ways as they rise back to their feet time and time again. The dead do not rest in this place, rising as horrid skeletal beasts that seek to expand their numbers. ![]() Only fools step foot into the Ruins, the twisting catacombs that stretch into impenetrable darkness, barren of all but the most dangerous or most desperate of life and yet still filled with the noise of movement. ![]() People enter the Hamlet all the time and yet there will always be room for more, because just as many people leave. It is something of a safe haven (though only an idiot would call it “safe”) if only because all the adventurers gather here to strike their fortune and aid in the battle against corruption. The corruption of that wretched place has unsavory effects on the people here, and yet still they persevere. ![]() Only fools come to the Hamlet, the closest thing comparable to civilization so close to the Darkest Dungeon.
